Our Impact

The impact of the Hispanic Scholars Program spans nationally and globally. From alumni who have received million-dollar grants to create interreligious family ministries, to current students who serve on the front lines of human rights activism, to faculty members whose decolonial and liberatory work is in constant dialogue with the Global South, the reach of the HSP is too vast to capture in a single narrative. For this reason, we welcome you to this story map where, with our partners at StoryCenter, we have invited the HSP community to share their own stories about how this organization has impacted them and their community.

As you sit with each story we invite you to explore how our stakeholders do theology Ā”latinamente! in every sector they touch. That is, how are they engaging frameworks that push against ā€œeither/orā€ thinking all while grounding the complexities of community and our struggle for justice and liberation, whether it be as clergy, faculty, community organizers, activists, philanthropists, or non-profit executives? Ask, if you were to tell your story of the HSP, what sounds and images would welcome us into your narrative?

If you are a stakeholder in the Hispanic Scholars Programā€”board member, faculty member, alumni, current student, or donorā€”and want to share your story. Please reach out to admin@hispanicscholarsprogram.org.
