Funders

Family Foundations, Endowments, and Corporate Sponsors are central to funding the work of the HSP and serving as conversation partners on issues of faith, community, and nation. We are grateful for the ways that philanthropic partners have come alongside the organization not just economically, but as true conversation partners who have allowed us to build synergy with them as they, too, create change in the world. No organization does its work in isolation and the HSP is grateful for the ways we have been in dialogue with key stakeholders in the philanthropic sector.

Lilly Endowment Inc.

The HSP has received over $6 million in grants from the Lilly Endowment to expand our mission and vision. In particular, we are grateful for the ways the Lilly Endowment has empowered us as an institution of theological education to support current and future clergy, community organizers, and faculty with a deep heart of faith communities to use the tools of theological education to serve the world.

Kolibri Foundation

The HSP has received unrestricted funding from the Kolibri Foundation to aid our work of social justice as a BIPOC led organization. Amidst the Latine/Hispanic community’s growing demographic shifts in the nation, we remain underrepresented in higher education. Partnership with the Kolibri Foundation allows us to respond to that injustice head on by caring for Latine/Hispanic students and leaders.

American Council of Learned Societies

The HSP was selected as a partner organization for the ACLS Leading Edge Fellowship program. Through this partnership, the HSP hosts a Leading Edge fellow that supports the HSP’s programming and mission to advance justice in communities across the United States. This partnership is made further possible by a grant from the Mellon Foundation.
